Product description

Tunnelling Life Support Systems

Hytech-Pommec supports tunnelling operations with custom-built life support systems and pressurised man lock chambers for demanding underground compressed air environments. The systems support safe access to pressurised work zones, hyperbaric interventions, decompression procedures and rescue operations during tunnel construction.

Modular Chamber Solutions

The available configurations range from small-diameter TBM access locks to large-capacity systems for 2 to 40 persons. Chamber diameters range from Ø 1200 to 1800 mm, with single- or multi-compartment layouts available to suit different operational requirements.

Modular chamber setups can support segmented shaft and tunnel access, helping operators configure the system around the specific layout of the project.

Life Support and Environmental Control

Hytech-Pommec can integrate medical and therapeutic chambers for decompression or treatment, as well as mobile life support containers for TBM and shaft sites. Oxygen breathing systems, gas management panels and environmental control units for heating and cooling support operations in pressurised environments.

Monitoring and control systems can operate manually or with computer assistance, depending on the required setup.

Tunnel Saturation and Hyperbaric Operations

Complete tunnel saturation systems are available for pressures up to 20 bar. These systems support TBM operations under compressed air, hyperbaric maintenance, compressed air interventions, access and rescue procedures, and decompression treatment for tunnel workers.

The modular approach allows each life support and chamber configuration to match the operational profile of the tunnelling project.
