Product description

VADR-6000M Acoustic Receiver

The VADR-6000M acoustic receiver is a compact and rugged passive pinger receiver designed for underwater tracking applications. It helps ROV and AUV operators locate and track acoustic sound sources with accuracy in demanding subsea environments.

Accurate Acoustic Tracking

The VADR-6000M acoustic receiver detects acoustic signals across a frequency range of 8 kHz to 45 kHz. This wide operating range allows the receiver to track many different underwater pingers and acoustic beacons. As a result, operators can use a single receiver for a variety of inspection, survey and recovery missions.

The receiver also tracks ATT-400 acoustic transponders, making it suitable for advanced underwater positioning and navigation tasks.

Reliable Communication

The VADR-6000M acoustic receiver uses an RS232 communication protocol to exchange data with surface control systems. This reliable interface allows operators to monitor acoustic signals in real time and integrate the receiver into existing ROV and AUV control systems.

The simple communication protocol also supports straightforward installation and system integration.

Built for Deepwater Operations

The VADR-6000M acoustic receiver operates at depths of up to 6,000 metres. Its robust construction allows it to perform reliably in deepwater environments where durability and consistent operation are essential.

The compact housing fits easily onto remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). In addition, its lightweight design simplifies installation without adding unnecessary weight to the vehicle.

Applications

The VADR-6000M acoustic receiver is ideal for offshore inspection, subsea construction, underwater navigation, scientific research and search and recovery operations. It also supports hydrographic surveys, pipeline inspections and deepwater asset tracking.

Whether you need to locate acoustic pingers, monitor underwater transponders or support subsea navigation, the VADR-6000M acoustic receiver delivers reliable performance in challenging underwater conditions.
