Containerised Life Support Unit
Hytech-Pommec builds containerised life support units around customer-specific operational requirements. The system typically includes two compartments: a control room for the operator and a separate equipment room for reels, air bottles and connections. Standard double container doors provide access to both areas.
Air Supply and Monitoring
Systems usually include four to eight mask supply lines. A double high-pressure air bank provides independent main and back-up supplies from the bottles through to the breathing masks.
Some configurations also include a low-pressure compressor for the main air supply, together with analyzers that monitor air quality at the compressor inlet. Hytech-Pommec can also build fully independent units with a generator set.
Communication and Support
A four-person configuration can provide breathing air, operator-to-worker communication and video surveillance. A low supply pressure alarm warns the operator when required.
Hytech-Pommec also provides communication systems, escape bottle sets and umbilicals, as well as yearly maintenance and certification for many supplied units.
