Subsea Scaling Lasers
Subsea scaling lasers provide accurate visual reference points for underwater measurement, inspection and survey applications. The C-Tecnics range includes compact solid-state dot and line lasers that help divers and ROV operators measure objects, identify features and improve inspection accuracy. As a result, they provide a reliable solution for commercial diving, offshore construction and subsea survey work.
Accurate Underwater Measurement
Subsea scaling lasers create highly visible reference points that allow operators to estimate the size of underwater objects directly from video footage or still images. When two lasers are installed at a known calibrated distance, they provide a fixed scaling reference that enables accurate dimensional measurements during inspections.
This simple but effective method reduces measurement uncertainty and improves the quality of inspection reports. Consequently, subsea scaling lasers are widely used during offshore surveys, infrastructure inspections and marine construction projects.
Dot and Line Laser Options
The C-Tecnics subsea scaling lasers are available in both dot and line configurations. Operators can also choose between 635 nm red and 532 nm green laser wavelengths to suit different underwater visibility conditions and application requirements.
This flexibility allows the lasers to support a broad range of inspection tasks, including weld inspection, structural surveys, pipeline monitoring, marine biology and ROV operations.
Compact and Easy to Integrate
Each subsea scaling laser measures only 135 mm in length, excluding the connector, with a 30 mm diameter. The compact housing allows easy installation on ROVs, underwater cameras, diver helmets and custom inspection systems without adding unnecessary bulk.
Operators can mount the lasers individually for highlighting and identification or install them as a calibrated pair for accurate scaling and measurement.
Built for Professional Subsea Operations
The lasers are Class 3R diode laser products with an output power of less than 5 mW. They operate from a 9–30 VDC power supply and incorporate integrated voltage regulation together with reverse polarity protection for dependable operation in demanding subsea environments.
Commercial diving contractors, offshore inspection companies and survey organisations use subsea scaling lasers for underwater inspections, marine construction, offshore energy projects, scientific research and environmental monitoring. Their rugged construction, compact size and dependable performance make them suitable for continuous professional use.
Whether installed on an ROV, diver helmet or underwater camera system, subsea scaling lasers provide reliable reference points that improve measurement accuracy and inspection efficiency across a wide variety of underwater applications.
