The SK58 sinker drill is a heavy-duty hydraulic rock drill designed for professional underwater drilling. It delivers reliable performance when drilling into concrete, rock and masonry. Commercial divers use it for offshore construction, subsea maintenance and underwater repair projects.
The drill features a feathering on/off valve that gives operators precise control when starting the drill bit. This design improves drilling accuracy and makes operation easier on hard underwater surfaces.
The SK58 uses industry-standard drill steels with a 1-inch × 4¼-inch hex shank. Its direct-drive rotation motor delivers adjustable speeds from 0 to 300 rpm. Therefore, operators can match the drilling speed to the material and application.
The drill creates holes up to 3 inches (75 mm) in diameter and depths of up to 20 feet (6 metres). It is suitable for installing anchors, preparing foundations and completing structural repairs underwater.
Air clears debris from the drilled hole and keeps drilling efficient. For hydraulic hose lengths greater than 100 feet (30.4 metres), STANLEY recommends larger inside-diameter pressure and return hoses. This helps maintain optimum hydraulic performance.
The rugged construction withstands demanding offshore conditions. In addition, the high-visibility yellow finish makes the tool easier to identify in low-visibility water.
