Diver Umbilical
The diver umbilical combines Fibroline hoses and communication cabling into a configurable solution for Surface Demand and Bell Excursion diving applications. Fibron has extensive experience in the design and manufacture of diver umbilicals, with hose types selected according to the pressure rating, flexibility and abrasion resistance required for each application.
Integrated Gas, Pneumo and Communication Lines
The standard configuration includes a Fibroline 3/8” Gas Hose – FBL06G in blue, a Fibroline 1/4” Pneumo Hose – FBL04P in yellow and a DCS0001 communications cable in red.
These components can be twisted together to create a single umbilical assembly. Depending on the required configuration, cables can support power, communications and video functions. Life lines can also be incorporated where required.
Configurable Connections and Terminations
A wide range of connector and coupling options allows the umbilical to suit different materials, sizes and connection requirements. This flexibility makes it possible to connect, adapt or expand the system according to the specific diving setup.
Various end fittings and electrical terminations are also available to match individual operational requirements. As a result, the diver umbilical can be configured around the equipment and connections used within the diving system.
Built Around the Application
Different hose types can be selected to match the demands of the intended diving operation. Pressure rating, flexibility and abrasion resistance can therefore be considered when configuring the umbilical.
This modular approach allows gas supply, pneumo, communication, power, video and optional life line functions to be combined within one diver umbilical assembly for Surface Demand or Bell Excursion applications.
